Canadian Olympic Fans Can Be A Part Of Paralympic Qualifying Race, First Time And Live ON MOSHN APP

MOSHN CMO and Canadian wheelchair racer, Josh Cassidy, races to qualify for 4th Paralympics race with sights on 2021 Tokyo Paralympics

TORONTO - July 16, 2021 -- Canadian Paralympic fans this Sunday, July 18th, can watch Paralympic Wheelchair Racer Josh Cassidy race in a Canadian Paralympic Marathon Qualifier for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games! 

After nearly 2 years of cancelled marathons and races that help athlete’s qualify for The Games, Cassidy took it upon himself to create his own marathon and provide an opportunity for Canadian athletes to achieve a qualifying marathon performance. Participating with Cassidy in the qualifying race are fellow  Canadian racers, Alexandre Dupont of Quebec, Tristan Smyth of British Columbia, and Ben Brown of Nova Scotia.

The 42.2km race will see the racers compete on a 2.7km loop on the streets of Port Elgin, fifteen and a half times. Port Elgin Rotarians will be generously volunteering at the event, and helping to direct local traffic to ensure everyone's safety. Additionally, the Canadian Tire store in Port Elgin is supporting with material donations and volunteers.

The race will be the first Paralympic qualifying event live streamed on the MOSHN App, and Canadians can access and watch for free. Follow MOSHN on Instagram for exclusive live interviews and an opportunity to participate in a virtual Q&A with Cassidy and other athletes.
